At Physique Training we are passionate about the health benefits of lifting weights, not just to be strong but to ensure we age well and prevent major illnesses and some chronic diseases.
The founder, Pete, has been lifting weights for almost 50 years and he set up Physique to help ordinary people achieve amazing things. He uses a range of techniques not often found anywhere else in Perth WA. (Possibly anywhere else in Australia) and he personally oversees every training program.
His philosophy is that everyone should lift weights, be healthy and strong, regardless of age or ability. He says that "Physique is about community and values" "leave your ego at the door, stay humble, become stronger and help others".
Pete often donates his time for free at Physique as he wants to help others, who otherwise would not be able to achieve results. Not just with elite athletes, but with ordinary everyday people.
He promotes a sense of community and says that Physique is a members only facility that promotes a sense of community and where you can exercise and get professional help when needed, or just do your own thing.

On any typical day, you will see people, male and female, aged from 10 years old to 86 years young lifting weights and becoming fitter, healthier and stronger.
This includes Pete and his coaches, several elite athletes and Para Olympians; all of whom train at Physique, as there is no better place to exercise. Even though our membership is predominantly female, we accept anybody who wants to become healthier and stronger and fits with our club philosophy.
Strength training will help protect your body from injury, maintaining flexibility and balance, which can help you remain independent as you age and improved balance will help prevent falls as we age.
Strength training with progressive overload, has been proven scientifically to prevent and control chronic conditions such as cancer, diabetes, heart disease, arthritis, back pain, pain management, osteoporosis, depression and obesity.
