OUR OLYMPIANS

At Physique, we work with all abilities, from Olympians, Paralympians and every day hero's like mums and dads. We also work with up and coming sporting hero's like local 400m swimming champion Alec, pictured on the left of the picture below.

Alec is undertaking a program of strength training to specifically get him stronger for his swimming, aiming to beat the current Australian record later this year and represent Australia in 2028 at the LA Olympic games.

Ben on the right of the picture is getting stronger and building more cardiovascular performance for his sport of Blind Football.

Ben currently represents Australia on the world stage and is also aiming to compete in the LA games in 2028.

Both have similar goals, but different training programs specifically designed for their particular sports.

Both will see an improvement in sporting performance (up to 30%) as well as have an additional benefit of being stronger and preventing sporting and related injuries by approximately 50%.

Harvard and Oxford universities have done extensive studies over the years and strength training in athletes is considered a transformative tool with regards to enhancing physical performance as well as preventing injuries in sport.

8 to 12 weeks of training will show measurable results, so if you are not feeling or seeing measurable differences, then something is not quite right and needs to be addressed. Performance improvements will vary depending on the athlete's sport, and the type of training undertaken is based on the specific demands of the sport. Consistency in training shows the best results and programs that are 12 weeks or longer will show greater measurable results.

We have worked with many athletes over 40+ years here at Physique, from track and field, swimmers and strength athletes like, weightlifters, strong man and powerlifters.

Our head coach (Pete) seen in the middle of the picture, currently holds 8 World and over 20 Australian Powerlifting strength records, and has a life long knowledge of competition preparation, as well as strength and conditioning training and related experience.

If you are looking to improve your sporting performance, regardless of your current ability or the level of your sport, from a Sunday afternoon basketball player to being a future Olympic champion, like Alec here, we have something for you.
